Ukraine and Russia have announced a new prisoner exchange, with each side releasing 175 detainees to mark the Christian Easter holiday. Volodymyr Zelenskyy said those freed include both soldiers and civilians, many of whom had been held since 2022. Russia’s Defence Ministry also confirmed the release of its prisoners, stating that the exchange was mediated by the United Arab Emirates. Both sides also agreed to a 32-hour temporary ceasefire. The war between Russia and Ukraine has now entered its fourth year, with no clear resolution in sight.
