Pakistan’s Army Chief, General Asim Munir, arrived in Iran on Wednesday leading a high-level delegation. Iranian state media reported that the delegation is carrying a message from Washington, with discussions expected to focus on upcoming negotiations. Al Jazeera described the visit as part of broader efforts to restart talks between Iran and the United States, though details remain limited. Pakistan’s Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi is also part of the delegation, and Iran’s foreign minister received Munir upon arrival. The visit comes as Donald Trump has suggested possible talks in Islamabad, while the U.S. continues its naval blockade of Iranian ports. Reports have also indicated unusual military flight activity from eastern Afghanistan toward Iran.
