KABUL: Microsoft co-founder and prominent American businessman Bill Gates has said he deeply regrets spending time and maintaining connections with the infamous sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. In an interview with “9 News” in Australia, Gates made the remarks following the release of millions of new documents by the U.S. government related to Epstein’s case. Gates described his relationship with Epstein as a significant mistake, emphasizing that he should never have formed such a connection. He added that this matter has negatively impacted his personal and professional credibility. Jeffrey Epstein, a wealthy businessman with ties to some of America’s political and economic elites, was arrested in 2019 on charges of child sexual exploitation. He was found dead in his jail cell, a death that continues to generate widespread controversy. The recent release of documents by the U.S. government has sparked renewed global discussion about this case, naming several high-profile figures who had connections with Epstein. Previously, Bill Gates acknowledged that his meetings with Epstein were framed as charitable endeavors, but he has now openly condemned these connections.
