Conference on Afghanistan’s future held in Sweden

STOCKHOLM: A national conference on the future of Afghanistan was organized by the

“Lapis Lazuli” Research and Policy Center and the “Afghan People’s Party” in Stockholm, Sweden.

The conference, held today, with participation of several Afghan expatriate political, civil, and academic figures.

According to a statement from the conference, the gathering was dedicated to evaluating the

“Afghanistan Mosaic” plan.

Organizer Aliyah Yilmaz emphasized the need for Afghanistan to establish a new social contract that does not involve power monopolization. Various political and civil figures discussed the “Mosaic” plan proposed by the United Nations for Afghanistan’s future.

Previously, a meeting was held in Antalya, which included Afghan democratic and civil movements, where the Mosaic plan faced several criticisms.
