KABUL: The U-17 national football team of Afghanistan is set to play against Tajikistan today as part of the CAFA Championship in Central Asia.
The Afghanistan Football Federation announced on its Facebook page that the match will take place at 5 PM local time in Tashkent, Uzbekistan.
In their first match of the tournament, the Afghan team lost to the team from Turkmenistan.
Currently, the U-17 championship is hosted by Uzbekistan and features teams from Afghanistan, Iran, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, and Turkmenistan.
It is worth mentioning that the Afghan team won the championship last year.
