Afghanistan to host largest Global Khurash Wrestling Competition with 12 countries

KABUL: Afghanistan is set to host the largest global Khurash wrestling competition, featuring athletes from 12 different countries.

This event will take place in Herat and marks the first time Afghanistan will host such an international sporting event in its history.

Mawlavi Ahmadullah Wasiq, General Director of Physical Education and Sports and head of the Taliban National Olympic Committee, announced at a ceremony in Kabul that the competition will be held at the international level with the participation of various countries.

This event presents a unique opportunity to elevate Afghanistan’s position in traditional sports and Khurash wrestling.
