ISTANBUL: President of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan met with President of Syria Ahmad Al-Sharaa at the Dolmabahçe Palace in Istanbul.
During the meeting, the two leaders discussed bilateral relations as well as regional and global developments. Erdogan spoke of a bright future for Syria and emphasized Turkey’s continued support for the Syrian people.
He called for the preservation of Syria’s territorial integrity and governance from a single authority, condemning Israeli occupation of Syrian territory.
President Erdogan also expressed support for expanding cooperation, particularly in the fields of energy, defense, and transportation.
Ahmad Al-Sharaa thanked Turkey for its support and efforts to lift sanctions.
