Esmail Baghaei, spokesperson for Iran’s Foreign Ministry, has responded to recent remarks and developments regarding understandings between Iran and the United States, accusing Washington of dishonesty. Baghaei posted on X that the United States has never shown honesty in its dealings with Iran. He said Iran, despite distrust of the United States, entered diplomatic talks in good faith and signed a memorandum related to ending the imposed war. He added that Iranians remain mindful of past experiences and approach developments with caution, based on decades of history. He also accused the United States of issuing contradictory statements about the agreement, saying such remarks would not reduce mistrust and would only recall past breaches of commitments.
