Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said that talks between the United States and Iran in Switzerland were held in a positive and constructive atmosphere, with encouraging progress made. In a statement, he said the first high-level committee meeting under the Islamabad memorandum in Switzerland was successfully concluded. According to him, the parties agreed on a roadmap toward a final agreement within 60 days. Sharif added that a high-level committee has been formed to provide political oversight of the negotiation process, and technical talks are expected to begin soon. He welcomed the continuation of dialogue between the United States and Iran and thanked Qatar and Switzerland for their facilitating role. The Pakistani prime minister emphasized that his country supports dialogue and diplomacy to achieve a peaceful and sustainable solution.
