The Taliban have banned the use of smartphones for teachers and education employees in Wardak province. According to a source, the decision will come into effect on Wednesday, June 17, coinciding with the beginning of the new lunar year. Based on the information available, the ban covers the use of smartphones during both official working hours and non-working hours. All teachers and employees of the education sector are required to comply with the directive. The development follows earlier reports of restrictions on smartphone use in a number of government institutions and security bodies operating under the Taliban administration.
