The office of the Israeli prime minister says the country has carried out a strike in the Dahiyeh area in Beirut, the capital of Lebanon. In a statement, it said the attack was carried out on Sunday, June 7, on the orders of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister Israel Katz. The prime minister’s office added that the strike was in response to recent attacks by Hezbollah on Israeli territory. Dahiyeh is located in the southern part of Beirut.
