The United States military says it has shot down two Iranian attack drones over the Strait of Hormuz. The incident comes despite an ongoing ceasefire between the two countries. Earlier, on Saturday, reports emerged of a wave of Iranian attacks on Bahrain and Kuwait. According to Tehran, the strikes were carried out in response to U.S. attacks on Iranian radar installations along the country’s coastal areas. The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) said that in retaliation for U.S. strikes on communications facilities on Qeshm and Sirik islands, the Al-Salem air base in Kuwait and key remaining facilities of the U.S. Navy’s Fifth Fleet in Bahrain were targeted with ballistic missile strikes by the Aerospace Force of the IRGC. The United States, meanwhile, said it responded to Iranian drone activity targeting vessels attempting to pass through the Strait of Hormuz.
