Iran’s Revolutionary Guards have rejected reports alleging that they were responsible for an incident at Kuwait’s airport, after Kuwaiti authorities reported damage to the facility following recent attacks. According to Iranian media, citing a spokesperson for the Revolutionary Guards, Iran did not carry out any attack against Kuwait’s airport. Iranian media reported that the incident at the airport was caused by a malfunction or error involving the U.S.-made Patriot air defence system and was not linked to any operation by Iranian forces. The spokesperson said that no missiles or projectiles had been launched by Iranian forces towards Kuwaiti territory. Earlier, Reuters reported that one person was killed and more than 60 others were injured in connection with the incident at Kuwait’s airport.
