Masoud Pezeshkian said during a meeting with Mohsin Naqvi that Tehran is seeking “friendly, stable and good-neighbourly relations” with countries in the region, particularly Gulf states. According to Iranian state media, the meeting lasted around one and a half hours, during which both sides discussed bilateral cooperation and the regional situation. During the meeting, Pezeshkian also claimed that the United States and Israel had attempted to create “division and insecurity” in the region during recent tensions and that their objective had been the “collapse of the system,” a claim he said had failed due to public support inside Iran. Meanwhile, Naqvi also met with several Iranian officials, including the speaker of parliament, where discussions focused on security cooperation and regional issues. Iranian military officials have also issued warnings in recent days over any potential attack and have spoken of what they described as a “broader response.”
