The Taliban’s Interior Ministry said it has distributed more than 2,000 motorcycles and a number of fast-response vehicles among its police forces. According to the ministry’s spokesman, 2,000 motorcycles were handed over to the “security police,” while 100 vehicles were allocated to the Taliban police command in Kabul, 50 to the fire brigade police and 150 to the traffic police. The spokesman said the purpose of the move was to “equip and strengthen police forces.” The announcement comes as reports of security incidents, including killings and criminal activities, have emerged in recent weeks from Kabul and several other provinces.
