Iranian officials say the country’s nuclear programme will continue and that uranium enrichment is not open for discussion in any negotiations. Ebrahim Rezaei, spokesman for the Iranian parliament’s National Security and Foreign Policy Commission, made the remarks after a meeting with the head of Iran’s Atomic Energy Organization. He said Tehran considers its nuclear programme peaceful and remains committed to continuing its activities. Rezaei also stated that Iran views its nuclear industry as part of its national strength and authority, adding that necessary measures have been taken to protect the country’s nuclear facilities.
