Lebanese journalist Amal Khalil has been killed and photographer Zainab Faraj injured in an Israeli strike in southern Lebanon, according to international media reports. The incident took place on Wednesday near the town of Al-Tiri, where the two were covering events on the ground. Reports say an Israeli strike hit a vehicle close to them. They then fled to a nearby house, but that house was also struck. Rescue teams later evacuated Zainab Faraj, who suffered a head injury, while Amal Khalil died in the attack. Lebanese authorities say ambulance access was blocked during the incident, delaying rescue efforts. Israel has not commented on the report. Lebanese Prime Minister Nawaf Salam called the attack on journalists a “war crime” and said Lebanon will pursue the case internationally.
