Ishaq Dar, Pakistan’s deputy prime minister and foreign minister, has urged Iran and the United States to adhere to their ceasefire commitments following talks in Islamabad. He expressed hope that both sides would maintain a constructive approach and continue efforts toward achieving lasting peace and regional stability. Dar said Pakistan has played its role in facilitating the process and will continue to support dialogue between Tehran and Washington in the future. He also thanked both sides for accepting the Pakistani prime minister’s call for a ceasefire and for agreeing to hold negotiations in Islamabad. Meanwhile, talks between Iran and the United States began on Saturday afternoon in Islamabad and ended after 21 hours without reaching a final agreement. The negotiations followed a two-week ceasefire mediated by Pakistan.
