Heavy rainfall and flash floods in Nangarhar and Laghman overnight have left several people dead and caused extensive damage. Local officials said women and children were among the victims, with the incident triggered by intense overnight rainfall. In Laghman, flooding killed two people and injured six others, while more than 100 homes and over 100 kilometers of roads were destroyed. Qari Khair Mohammad Ghazi said the floods also damaged 110 houses, 400 jeribs of farmland, dozens of livestock, and 33 small water and electricity networks.
