The Yousufkhel district team has won first place in a javelin throwing competition held in Paktika province. The head of the Paktika Physical Education and Sports Department told the media that the competition was organized on the occasion of Eid al-Fitr, with the participation of 27 teams. The event was held in Sharan, the provincial capital. According to him, at the end of the competition, the Yousufkhel team secured first place, Etifaq team took second place, and Yousufkhel “B” team finished in third place. Officials stated that the purpose of organizing the competition was to promote the sport of javelin throwing and to provide healthy recreational opportunities for local youth and residents. At the end of the event, cash prizes and gifts were awarded to the winning teams.
