The World Health Organization has said that 64 people, including children, patients, and medical staff, were killed and 89 others injured in an attack on a civilian hospital in Sudan. The organization stated that the attack took place yesterday on Al-Daein Teaching Hospital in Darfur, and the hospital’s facilities were completely destroyed. World Health Organization Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus condemned the attack and said that following the strike on the hospital, essential medical services in the city have completely stopped. He once again called for hospitals and medical personnel to be protected during conflicts.
