Hosi Andar, an Afghan citizen residing in Germany, has been elected to the city council of Frankfurt. Andar announced on Tuesday, March 16, that she secured approximately 53,000 votes, earning her a seat on the council. The Frankfurt City Council is one of the city’s key decision-making bodies, playing a central role in legislation, infrastructure development, financial planning, and social services.
