Afghan taekwondo athlete Farzad Mansouri won a gold medal at the 2026 World Taekwondo Open G2 tournament held in Las Vegas, United States. Mansouri secured the title after defeating four opponents during the competition—two athletes from the United States, one from Mexico, and one from Argentina. The tournament took place in the city of Las Vegas and featured international competitors. It is noteworthy that Mansouri had previously won a gold medal in another international taekwondo competition held in the United Kingdom in Hamal 1404 (April 2025).
