TEHRAN: Dr. Sayed Abbas Araghchi has said that all senior Iranian officials, including Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei and President Masoud Pezeshkian, are alive and in good condition. Speaking to NBC News, Araghchi stated: “We may have lost one or two commanders, but this is not a major issue.” Earlier, Reuters reported, citing informed sources, that Aziz Nasirzadeh, Iran’s defense minister, and Mohammad Pakpour, commander of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, were killed in Israeli strikes carried out earlier in the day. Iranian authorities have not confirmed the reported deaths of the two military officials. Reuters also reported that the residence of Iran’s Supreme Leader in Tehran was targeted, citing satellite imagery that showed damage to the site.
