KABUL: The German government has transferred 47 Afghan refugees, who had previously received acceptance promises, from Islamabad to Berlin. The German Interior Ministry announced that these individuals were relocated on Wednesday, as part of the federal acceptance program. Previously, the Pakistani government had warned Germany to evacuate all Afghan individuals with acceptance promises by the end of 2025. Hundreds of local collaborators of the German government in Afghanistan, civil activists, and journalists with acceptance promises have been waiting for years in Pakistan for their transfer. However, the coalition government of Germany has rejected the request to transfer over a thousand Afghan citizens who had previously received offers for acceptance.
