ISLAMABAD: After negotiations, Pakistan has agreed to face India in the World Cup on February 15. Previously, Pakistan had stated that it would not compete against India. Earlier reports suggested that Pakistan had stipulated a bilateral series with India in return for participating in the World Cup. However, following the announcement, the International Cricket Council (ICC) stated that it did not accept Pakistan’s request for India to commit to a bilateral series. The Pakistan Cricket Board also requested compensation from the ICC due to Bangladesh’s withdrawal from the World Cup, but this request was also rejected by the ICC.
