Suicide incidents increased among former U.S. soldiers

KABUL: Suicide incidents among former U.S. soldiers who are currently homeless or suffering from mental health issues, have increased, the Stars and Stripes newspaper reported. The report indicates that the suicide rate among veterans with mental health conditions is 94% higher compared to others, while the rate among homeless veterans shows a 146% increase. It further notes that more than half of former soldiers are grappling with severe pain, insomnia, and economic difficulties, with those under the age of 34 facing the highest risks.
