24-year-old woman identified as Balochistan suicide bomber

BALOCHISTAN: A 24-year-old woman named Asifa Mangal has been identified as the suicide bomber involved in an attack by the separatist group “Baloch Liberation Army” (BLA) in Balochistan, Pakistan. The group announced that Asifa carried out the bombing on Saturday, targeting a site belonging to the Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) of the Pakistan Army in the city of Nushki. According to released information, Asifa Mangal, born in 2002, joined the BLA in 2023 and was listed among the group’s suicide bombers in January 2024. Meanwhile, Pakistani officials report that this separatist group’s deadly attacks have occurred in over 10 areas in Balochistan. Sarfaraz Bugti, the Chief Minister of Balochistan, stated in a press conference on Sunday, that 17 security personnel have been killed in these attacks. He noted that among the killed are members of the police, border force, and Pakistan Navy personnel. He also confirmed that the number of civilian casualties from these attacks has reached 31.
