Iran’s military says it has carried out a drone attack on a US military facility at Ahmad Al Jaber Air Base in Kuwait, describing the operation as a response to recent American strikes. According to Al Jazeera, Iran’s armed forces said the attack targeted satellite communication systems and equipment storage facilities at the base. Iran said the strike was carried out in retaliation for a US attack on a residential property on Qeshm Island. The Iranian military also claimed that Ahmad Al Jaber Air Base is an important US centre for aerial surveillance and military support operations in the region. The claim comes as tensions between Tehran and Washington continue to rise, with both sides accusing each other of launching military actions against their interests.
