KABUL: The Taliban’s National Disaster Management Authority, said that as a result of recent heavy rainfalls and snowfalls, at least 61 people have died and 110 others have been injured across 15 provinces. According to the organization, the casualties occurred in Kabul, Parwan, Panjshir, Bamyan, Daykundi, Maidan Wardak, Ghazni, Herat, Ghor, Badghis, Faryab, Sar-e-Pul, Balkh, Samangan, and Nuristan provinces. The spokesperson also noted that 458 residential homes have been partially or completely destroyed, and hundreds of livestock have also been lost during this period. In recent days heavy rainfalls and snowfalls have inflicted financial losses to people in some provinces.
