India donates 18 types of cancer medicines to Afghanistan

KABUL: The Taliban’s Ministry of Public Health has announced that the Indian government has donated 18 types of cancer medicines to the ministry. Sharafat Zaman, the spokesperson for the Taliban’s Ministry of Public Health, stated today that the assistance has been sent to Afghanistan in the form of 776 cartons, weighing a total of 7,589 kilograms. According to Taliban officials, the medications are intended to support cancer patients and enhance healthcare services in the country. Noor Jalal Jalali, the Taliban Minister of Public Health, previously mentioned during his visit to India that New Delhi is providing $5 million worth of vaccines to the Taliban. India has also pledged to construct a hospital valued at $500,000 and has previously donated a $3 million radiotherapy machine for the diagnosis and treatment of cancer patients.
