AYBAK: Local sources have said in Samangan that a woman’s body has been discovered in the Khulm district of the province. According to the sources, the woman was mysteriously murdered, with her body found on Tuesday, in the “Dasht-e Shabaghli” area. Signs of beating and torture were evident on the body, and the identity, circumstances, and motive behind the murder remain unclear. The body has been transferred to the provincial hospital in Samangan. Local Taliban officials have not yet commented on the incident. Concerns over suspicious and targeted killings continue to grow among citizens, with reports emerging daily from various locations. The Taliban typically refer to the perpetrators as “gunmen and unknown individuals,” and few have been identified or arrested. Military experts suggest that Taliban commanders are behind these killings, particularly in the cases of former military personnel and government employees, for which the Taliban has faced increased accusations. International organizations have also confirmed the group’s involvement in such incidents. However, Taliban officials and spokespeople claim that the general amnesty announced by the group’s leader has been implemented and that the allegations are baseless, asserting that reports are being prepared to tarnish the reputation of the government.
