WASHINGTON: A historic meeting between U.S. President Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin took place in Anchorage, Alaska, concluding with a joint press conference after three hours of discussions. Trump described the talks as “very productive,” stating that agreement had been reached on most issues, though a few minor points and one significant topic remained unresolved. He expressed his desire to hold another meeting soon, mentioning that both Vladimir Putin and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky would be present, and he might join as well. In response to Trump’s comments about continuing negotiations, Putin, speaking in English at the end of the meeting, remarked, “Next time in Moscow.”
