GAZA: Francesca Albanese, the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights, has stated that the world has failed to ensure the safety of journalists, healthcare workers, and civilians in Gaza. In an interview with Al Jazeera, Albanese criticized Israel’s previous assertion that all Palestinians are terrorists, declaring it unacceptable to the global community. She described Israeli soldiers as shameless, accusing them of killing journalists and then claiming they had ties to Hamas. Pointing to the ongoing brutality, she emphasized that Israeli forces are mercilessly using their weapons against civilians, particularly targeting women and children. The UN’s condemnation of Israel’s current violence follows an incident where five Al Jazeera journalists were killed in an airstrike in Gaza.
