24,000 foreign tourists have visited Afghanistan in four years

KABUL: Officials of the Taliban at the Ministry of Information and Culture, have announced that approximately 24,000 foreign tourists have visited Afghanistan since the Taliban regained control. Khubaib Ghufran, a spokesperson for the ministry, made the remarks during an interview with the national television under Taliban rule. He noted that the tourists have come to Afghanistan for sightseeing and have visited various regions within the country. Ghafran mentioned that they have constructed four hotels in different areas for tourists and have plans to build four more. Taliban officials attribute the influx of international tourists to Afghanistan’s natural beauty, improved security, and its historical and cultural sites.
