KABUL: U.S. Senator Bernie Sanders has urged Congress to suspend military aid to Israel. He stated that American taxpayer money is being used for bombing schools in Gaza, feeding hunger, and killing civilians. In his statement, Sanders referred to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his ministers as “criminals,” urging Congress to withdraw military support for them. Previously, several U.S. senators have also called for an end to military aid to Israel, claiming that such funds are being used to perpetuate genocide in Gaza. Currently, Gaza is facing a dire situation, with children and women losing their lives due to hunger and other hardships. Additionally, 15 countries, including France, Canada, and Australia, have announced the recognition of Palestine. In a joint statement, they indicated that they either recognize Palestine as an independent state or are considering this decision.
