KABUL: A delegation from the Muslim World League, led by Mohammed bin Abdul Karim Al-Issa, arrived in Kabul today, Monday, July 21. The Taliban’s Presidential Palace announced that Abdul Salam Hanafi, the administrative deputy of the Prime Minister, welcomed the delegation. According to the Taliban, Al-Issa is scheduled to meet and discuss with Mullah Mohammad Hassan Akhund, the Prime Minister, Amir Khan Muttaqi, the acting Minister of Foreign Affairs, and Sirajuddin Haqqani, the acting Minister of Interior. The Muslim World League (MWL) is a non-governmental organization based in Saudi Arabia, established in 1962. Its objectives include promoting Islamic teachings, strengthening the unity of the Muslim community, and combating extremism. The MWL has representation in various countries and organizes numerous meetings and programs in areas such as interfaith dialogue, religious education, and humanitarian assistance. The specific purpose of Mohammed bin Abdul Karim Al-Issa’s visit to Afghanistan has not yet been officially disclosed. Previously, several officials from Islamic organizations have visited Kabul and described the situation in the country under Taliban rule as satisfactory.
