TEHRAN: The spokesperson for Iran’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs has announced that representatives from Iran, the United Kingdom, France, and Germany will meet next Friday in Istanbul, Turkey, to discuss the Islamic Republic’s nuclear program. Ismail Baqaei stated that the meeting will be held at the level of deputy foreign ministers. Some European countries have previously warned that if Iran does not return to serious negotiations, new international sanctions may be imposed against Tehran. The talks are scheduled amid rising tensions following recent attacks on Iran’s nuclear facilities. Additionally, the Iranian Foreign Minister recently held a phone conversation with the EU’s foreign policy chief.
