Officials discussed direct flights between Kabul and Astana

KABUL: Mullah Abdul Salam Haidari, the Deputy Minister of International Transport at the Taliban’s Ministry of Transport, met with Maksat Kaliakparov, the Deputy Minister of Transport of Kazakhstan.

The Taliban’s Ministry of Transport announced that the two sides discussed transportation relations, international transport agreements between the two countries, and the initiation of direct flights between Kabul and Astana during their meeting.

Haidari emphasized that strengthening transport links with Kazakhstan is a crucial part of Afghanistan’s strategy for enhancing regional and global cooperation.

He noted that implementing these agreements would bring significant changes in trade and transit exchanges between the two countries and the surrounding region.

Conversely, the Deputy Minister of Transport from Kazakhstan also stressed the importance of strengthening bilateral transport relations with Afghanistan.
