Elon Musk, the US billionaire and owner of Tesla, SpaceX and X, has responded sarcastically to the defeat of Republican candidates in the US midterm elections.
In a post on X, Musk appeared to mock the election results, writing: “Guess my election-interfering space lasers didn’t work this time.”
His remarks came after Democrats made significant gains in the midterm elections, taking control of both chambers of Congress. Musk had spent hundreds of millions of dollars supporting Republican candidates and political groups during the election campaign.
