Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has said US President Donald Trump supports continued cooperation with Israel to confront Iran, adding that the two countries have work left to do.
In a video message published on 19 October, Netanyahu said: “We still have a job to do in Iran, and we will finish it together.”
On Thursday, 22 October, Netanyahu also warned that any renewed Iranian attack would be met with a forceful response. He accused Tehran of continuing to pose a threat to Israel and called for efforts to bring down Iran’s government.
The remarks come amid continued tensions between Israel and Iran. However, Netanyahu’s statements do not in themselves confirm that Washington has decided to launch a new military operation against Tehran.
