The Taliban have begun assessing potential sites in Kandahar for the installation of air-defence systems intended to counter drones, according to reports.
A Taliban defence ministry delegation has reportedly inspected several locations, including the 205 Al-Badr Corps and areas near Spin Boldak district.
The systems are reportedly being considered for use along the border to counter Pakistani drone activity.
The Taliban have not publicly disclosed details about the type or number of defence systems involved.
