A Russian ballistic missile strike in Ukraine’s Kyiv region has killed at least 10 people and injured nearly 100 others, according to Ukrainian officials. The attack took place during a defence industry event. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said such a strike should never have happened during wartime. Ukraine’s emergency services said rescue operations at the site had been completed, with teams recovering victims from the rubble of destroyed buildings. Images released after the attack showed emergency workers searching through debris near residential buildings. In his evening address, Zelenskyy blamed Russia for the attack, saying the cause was “Russian missiles and Russian terrorism”. He also said that holding public weapons or defence equipment exhibitions, particularly near residential areas, was unacceptable during a war against an enemy capable of such attacks.
