Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) says it has targeted support and fuel supply facilities at Oman’s Duqm port that were used by US aircraft carriers, as part of what it described as the third phase of its response to American strikes. The IRGC said the facilities had been destroyed, but the claim has not been independently verified. Meanwhile, the US Central Command (CENTCOM) said it had completed the third phase of its operations against Iran, targeting around 140 military sites. It said the targets included missile and drone bases, naval facilities, ammunition storage sites, communication networks and coastal surveillance centres. CENTCOM also said it had struck more than 300 military targets in Iran over the past three nights. The US military said the aim of the operations was to reduce Iran’s ability to threaten commercial shipping in the Strait of Hormuz.
