In a report published on 1 October , the UN Assistance Mission in Afghanistan (UNAMA) documented the experiences of people affected by the conflict from the beginning of 2001 until the Taliban returned to power on 15 August 2021.
The report is based on interviews with 195 victims and members of their families.
According to the report, 95% of those interviewed said they had suffered psychological or emotional harm as a result of the conflict, while 58% reported experiencing physical harm.
