Mujahid: Pakistan Attacking Afghanistan to Withdraw from Mecca Pact

Taliban spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid has accused Pakistan of carrying out attacks on Afghanistan to portray itself as being engaged in a conflict with Afghanistan and justify withdrawing from the Mecca pact with Saudi Arabia and Turkey.

Speaking at a religious gathering in Kandahar, Mujahid said Pakistan was also seeking to divert public attention from its domestic problems through the attacks.
