PIA and Kam Air Sign Interline Agreement

Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) and Afghanistan’s Kam Air have signed an interline agreement aimed at making air travel between Afghanistan and Pakistan easier.

Under the agreement, passengers will be able to book connecting journeys on a single reservation, rather than purchasing separate tickets for each part of their trip.

The initial service will connect Kabul, Islamabad and Dammam. Passengers travelling from Kabul will also be able to have their baggage transferred directly to their connecting PIA flight in Islamabad.

The arrangement is expected to make transit through Islamabad easier for Afghan passengers travelling to destinations in the Gulf.

The two airlines have also indicated that the cooperation could later be expanded to other destinations, including Medina, Muscat and Al Ain.
