US President Donald Trump has reassured Israel that it should not be concerned about a possible resumption of war with Iran, saying he would deal with the issue.
Al Jazeera reported on Wednesday, 2 September, that Trump said: “I am the president and I will take care of Israel.”
His remarks come amid growing concerns over a possible renewed direct conflict between Iran and Israel.
Earlier, Israeli Defence Minister Israel Katz warned that if Iran attacked Israel during the Jewish holidays, Israel would respond with “very great force”.
The Jewish holidays are due to begin next week, while tensions between Iran and the United States have also risen again.
