Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelenskyy is set to meet US President Donald Trump in Washington to discuss continued American support for Ukraine against Russia and efforts to bring the war to an end. The meeting comes as the Russia-Ukraine war approaches its fourth year, with both sides intensifying their military operations in recent weeks. US-led peace efforts have so far failed to produce a clear breakthrough. Reports suggest that although relations between Trump and Zelenskyy had faced tensions in recent months, signs of improved ties have emerged recently. A White House official said the two leaders are scheduled to meet in Washington on Tuesday. Zelenskyy said he was preparing for talks with President Trump and his team, expressing hope that Washington would continue supporting Ukraine and that the war could be ended through diplomatic efforts.
