The United States Central Command (CENTCOM) says it has carried out strikes against Iranian military positions and facilities for the 12th consecutive night. CENTCOM on X said US forces targeted a range of Iranian military assets, including naval capabilities, missile and drone storage facilities, coastal surveillance systems and air defence equipment. The command said the strikes were aimed at reducing Iran’s ability to carry out attacks against civilian maritime traffic and commercial vessels. CENTCOM also claimed that US forces had targeted dozens of Iranian military sites and facilities during the current month, while resuming a maritime blockade operation against the country. The statement added that more than 50,000 US military personnel are deployed across the Middle East and remain at the highest levels of operational readiness, combat capability and alert status.
